Gautam Boudha Stones is the expertise of four lapidaries' generations regarding jewels in natural stones.
The story begins in 1880 when Vijay Lal Sharma, expert and large collector of stones, decided to found a lapidary workshop in the heart of Jaipur.
His mastery of the art of stone cutting place him quickly among the best craftsmen from India, so much so that the royal family uses his services to make its larger orders.
The art of Vijay Lal bases on his deep respect for stones, of which he knows the virtues and subtleties, inherited from the Indian ancestral tradition.
Following the thread of fashion and times, this unique expertise has been passed from father to son in the family workshop in the center of Jaipur,
while ensuring the preservation of a privileged relationship with stones.
In the early 2000s, Rajesh, great grand-son of Vijay Lal, decided to move to Lyon in order to expand his wholesale business and lapidary there. Both cultures and European languages enthusiast, and deeply attached to the knowledge of his family,
he found then an opportunity to perpetuate the family business, while responding to the call of the trip.
Recognition of his fine work and the quality of the stones he sells gives him the opportunity to open in December 2012 his jeweller storein the area of Croix-Rousse, which exhibits his creations of jewels in natural stones.
